The Hasty Acres camp program is a great opportunity for children to achieve leadership skills, instill responsibility and gain confidence. These skills learned early in life give our campers an advantage to become great citizens.
The rider and the horse are a TEAM. Each camper will learn the role of a good leader to make a successful team.
Horses require much care to stay healthy and comfortable. Each camper will learn the proper equine care before and after riding to ensure good health of the horse.
A respectful horse/rider relationship leads to great rides. Hasty Acres' campers will learn to gain the respect of the horse while respecting the horse.
Successful horsemanship skills lead to a confidant rider. The confidence gained will radiate through everyday life situations.
With many years' experience teaching children to ride and
operating full day children's horsemanship programs, we offer a great program that will provide your children with a highly enjoyable and educational summer break. The camp is an excellent way for beginners to get to know horses because it offers "hands on" experience with grooming and handling sessions as well as daily riding lessons. For experienced riders, the continuity of daily lessons and the increased individual attention helps children progress even faster than in weekly riding lessons.
Our instructors understand the importance of careful, supportive
instruction. Carefully matching the student's ability with the horse and
instructor, we concentrate on developing our riders' confidence and self esteem through real progress in riding ability. We also emphasize the important benefits of learning the many "on-the ground" aspects of handling and caring for their equine partners.
Camp runs from 9am until 3pm, rain or shine. Campers will ride
$450.00 per week. Discount available for three or more weeks!
